his Book is extracted from the Book of Ibn Kathir 'Al-Bidayah Wan-Nihayah' one of the most important texts written about the History of the World until the time of the author.
As with many Translation of Ibn Kathirs Works this is an Abridge version Leaving out the very Weak or Fabricated Narration.

A number of miracles were bestowed upon and performed by the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) to establish the proof of his prophethood.
The greatest miracle bestowed upon him was the revelation of the Qur'an, but there were also true Prophecies and Many Physical Miracles at the Hand of the Prophet of Islam.

A great Book for Students of Knowledge, Teachers, Parents and Scientists.

Ibn Kathir (701 -774 AH). was a Classical Scholar of Repute who learned from great scholars such as Ibn Asakir, Ishaq ibn Yahya al-Amudi and Ibn Taymiyyah who was extremely close to him. He also studied under various other sheikhs who gave him permission in fiqh and Hadith. He made many academic contributions to Islamic sciences and authored many books .

Brief About the Miracles of the Prophet (SAW)
The Qur'an is miraculous in a number of aspects: Its linguistic perfection and inimitability, its validation by recent historical, archaeological, and scientific discoveries, its prophecies and so on. Unlike the miracles of other prophets before him, the miracle of the Qur'an is eternal.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also provided us with a number of true prophecies as well as some other physical Miracles, these include:
Splitting of the Moon
Food Multiplication
Water Multiplication
Supplication for Rain
Lights to guide Companions
Crying of the stem of the Date-palm Tree

The expulsion of a Christian liar's corpse by the Earth
The Speech of the Wolf

The Position of Women in Islam: A Progressive View

By Mohammad Ali Syed
Publisher: State University of New York Press
Pages: 135, Date: 2004-08
ISBN-10 : 0791460967

Description:
Challenging the conservative framers of Islamic law who accorded a lesser status to women, Mohammad Ali Syed argues that the Quran and the Hadith-the two primary sources of Islamic law-actually place Muslim women on the same level as Muslim men. Syed provides an overview of both sources and explores their respective roles in Islamic law, emphasizing the Quran's role as the supreme authority and questioning the authenticity of some of the alleged sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

From these texts, he elaborates women's rights in a variety of areas, including treatment by God; marriage, divorce, financial provisions, and custody of children; coming out of seclusion (purdah), and taking part in social, economic, legal, and political activities. Rather than presenting what is practiced today, the book covers the theoretical position of Muslim women as sanctioned by the Quran and the authentic Hadith and offers a glimpse of the exalted position of honor and dignity enjoyed by Muslim women in the early days of Islam.

This well-researched book is made more distinctive by the author's personal experience. Raised in Bengal, India, Syed was inspired by his family, who valued men and women equally. As he grew up, Syed realized that most Muslim women lived very differently than the women of his family. According to the author, his family was egalitarian because his father and male relatives were not only devout Muslims but also very knowledgeable about Islam. This book is a culmination of his lifelong concern for women's rights under Islam.

Hadith as Scripture: Discussions on the Authority of Prophetic Traditions in Islam

By Aisha Y. Musa
Publisher: Palgrave Macmillan
Pages: 224, Date: 2008-05-13
ISBN-10 : 0230605354, 698 KB pdf

Description:
This work explores the earliest extant discussions on the authority of the Hadith in Islam and compares them with contemporary debates. These lively and often polemical debates are mostly popular discussions in which Muslims from different backgrounds and cultures participate--making this topic relevant to Muslims in their daily lives, as well as a question of academic interest.

This is the first study to take into account both the earliest and most recent discussions of the oral tradition of the prophet Muhammad. The book also includes the first Western language translation of al-Shafi'i's Kitab Jima' al-'Ilm, which articulates arguments that were critical in establishing the position of the Hadith in mainstream Islam.

Understanding the Hadith: The Sacred Traditions of Islam

By Ram Swarup
Publisher: Prometheus Books
Pages: 258, Date: 2002-09
ISBN-10: 1591020174, Pdf
Size: Rar - 1.21 MB, Unzipped - 1.41 MB

Description:
Although the non-Muslim world is not as familiar with the Hadith as with the Quran, it is the Hadith that is the most important single source of Islamic laws, precepts, and practices. Ever since the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad, millions of Muslims have attempted to mimic his dress, diet, hairstyle, toilet mores, and sexual and marital habits in the hope of being more like the man who walked in the ways of Allah.

Whether one visits Saudi Arabia or Central Asia, India or Malaysia, Muslims by the millions can be found conforming to the Prophet's views on the veil, polygamy, and ablution.

The Hadith consistutes a voluminous literature. Every word from Muhammad's lips, every nod or shake of his head, every one of his gestures and mannerisms was important to his followers. They remembered these as best they could and passed these "traditions" on from generation to generation.

Using the Sahih Muslim, a massive work consisting of 7,190 traditions divided into 1,243 chapters, Ram Swarup quotes representative selections that touch upon the main tenets of Islamic faith: purification, prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, marriage and divorce, crime and punishment, religious wars (jihad), paradise, hell, repentance, and many others.

According to Muslim theologians, Islam is a "complete" and "completed" religion that deals not only with theological matters but also with all aspects of the believer's life. It is equally political and military. It has much to do with statecraft, and it has a very specific view of the world peopled by "infidels" or non-Muslims. Since most of the world is still "infidel," it is very important for those who are not Muslim to understand Islam. UNDERSTANDING THE HADITH provides many insights into the mind-set of the typical Muslim who is raised on these traditions.

Publisher: Dar Al Kutub Al A'lmis- دار الكتب العلميةPublication Date: 2001
ISBN-10 / ASIN: 274513261X

Description:
This encyclopedic work on Islam comprises English translations of all canonical adths, complete with their respective chains of transmission (isnds).

This encyclopedic work on Islam comprises English translations of all canonical ḥadīths, complete with their respective chains of transmission (isnāds).
By conflating the variant versions of the same ḥadīth, the repetitiveness of its literature has been kept wherever possible to a minimum. The latest methods of isnād analysis, described in the general introduction, have been employed in an attempt to identify the person(s) responsible for each ḥadīth.

The book is organized in the alphabetical order of those persons. These are the so-called ‘common links’. Each of them is listed with the tradition(s) for the wording of which he can be held accountable, or with which he can at least be associated.

Within each article, the traditions are referred to in bold figures in the numerical order as they were distilled from the more than 19,000 isnāds listed in Tuḥfat al-ashrāf bi ma‘rifat al-aṭrāf by the Syrian ḥadīth scholar Yusuf b. ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān al-Mizzī (d. 742/1341).

Medieval commentaries as well as assorted biographical lexicons were drawn upon to illustrate the text of each tradition in all theological, social, legal and other noteworthy aspects discernible in it. Thus no details of eschatology, superstitions, miraculous phenomena, Jahili practices etc. were left without the clarifying comments of contemporary and later theologians, historians and ḥadīth experts culled from such works as the Fatḥ al-bārī, a major commentary of Bukhārī’s Ṣaḥīḥ by Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī (d. 852/1448) or the commentary by Yaḥya b. Sharaf an-Nawawī (d. 676/1277) of the Ṣaḥīḥ of Muslim b. al-Ḥajjāj.

The encyclopedia concludes with an exhaustive index and glossary of names and concepts, which functions at the same time as a concordance. In short, this work presents an indispensable sourcebook of the development of Islam in all its facets during the first three centuries since its foundation as reflected in canonical ḥadīth.

A 'must' for any who would understand modern Islamic sentiments

The Mosque: The Heart Of Submission could have been featured in our Spirituality section, but is reviewed here for its central importance in any consideration of Muslim thinking, religious or otherwise. Mahmutcehajic surveys ways in which the mosque differs from the Christian church, considering its unique place in Muslim tradition as a stand-alone image without an institutionalized hierarchy.

It holds importance throughout Muslim society and thus religious concepts of upward bliss, mercy, and God move from the Mosque well beyond the usual boundaries into the heart of social structure.

This survey of its symbolism and meaning is a 'must' for any who would understand modern Islamic sentiments.

Sahih Al-Bukhari (9 Vol. Set - Arabic-English)

Sahih Al-Bukhari | Language: Arabic - English | Format: CHM | Pages: 4050 | 9 Volumes| Size: 8 MB

Generally regarded as the single most authentic collection of Ahadith, Sahih Al-Bukhari covers almost all aspects of life in providing proper guidance from the messenger of Allah. This 9-Volume Bukhari is the work of over 16 years by Imam Bukhari who before writing any Hadith in this book performed two Rakat prayer of guidance from Allah and when he was sure of the Hadith's authenticity, he wrote it in the book.

Tremendous amounts of errors exist in the translations by other translators. To eliminate the problem Dar-us-Salam spent over 3 years in the publication of this book and presented a book which is translated into English in a very easy & simple language, so that all readers can understand it without difficulty. This is the unabridged version consisting of 7563 ahadith (about 4000 pages) which are presented neatly in smaller books format and printed on fine paper. Each book (subtopics in each volume categorized by very broad topics such as the Book of As-Salat) contains many chapters which represent one logical unit of Ahadith. Each book contains anywhere from one to 150 chapters with each chapter containing several Ahadith.

This book will be a great addition to your library while giving you a true perspective on the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH). In Imam Bukhari's 'Al-Jami-al-Sahih' (Sahih Al Bukhari) the Imam had recorded all the Sayings of the Prophet which he found to be genuine after thorough examination and scrutiny. He spent sixteen years in research and examined more than sixty thousand Sayings from which he selected only sayings whose genuineness and accuracy he established beyond the slightest doubt. Deducting duplicates, the Imam's collection contain about four thousand distinct Sayings.
